What's better than a beautiful night at the park with your family? Last night was so nice that we decided to throw Drake's bike into the car along with my camera and head to a nearby park. Drake enjoyed running around, climbing on the jungle gym, playing with kids, riding his bike...and licking trees? That's right licking trees!! He apparently likes to lick things these days. Carpets, faces, trees, walls....I guess he'll grow out of it, right? Anyways that has really nothing to do with this post. While we were walking Drake around the park I got to thinking about all the things that we love and want to remember about Drake right now as a 1 year old. So since I'm feeling a little lovey dovey this Sunday afternoon I Thought I'd write down all the things that we Love about Drake.
To Drake:
-We LOVE that you gives us kisses and hugs whenever we ask
-We LOVE how you think it's funny when daddy kisses mom
-We LOVE how you sleep in the most uncomfortable random positions such as legs threw the crib bars or up in the air
-We LOVE that you like to be around other kids and that you like to share with them
(Drake's new park friend tickling his chin)
-We LOVE how you scream and get excited every time you see Elmo
-We LOVE that you run to the door when we tell you we're going outside
-We LOVE that you bark every time you hear or see a dog
-We LOVE when you show us the please sign when you want something
-We LOVE that you laugh at silly things
-We LOVE when you try to find your belly button but can't because your belly is too big
(trying to find the belly button...but its so hard to find it.... almost there)
-We LOVE how you say "cheese" over and over again when you're eating cheese
-We LOVE how you scream and get excited every time Dad comes home from work
-We LOVE how you walk around the house rambling
-We LOVE how you say "this" but it sounds like "*ss" and you like to say it over and over again
-We LOVE that you like to head butt everyone
-We LOVE how you like to sound like an Elephant
-We LOVE how you love to eat vegetables
-We LOVE how you try to say "shoe" but it sounds more like "oosh"
-We LOVE that you think it's funny to give high fives and to blow kisses
-We LOVE how you like to pull up your shirt and rub your tummy when you're nervous
-We LOVE how you run to mommy for comfort every time you get hurt
(getting a hug from mom after a little fall)
-We LOVE how you hide your toys and mommy and daddy's things in all the kitchen cabinets
-We LOVE that you always try to drink bath and pool water
-We LOVE how you make "vroom" noise every time you drive a toy car
-We LOVE how you always hold out your hand for someone to hold it when you walk
-We LOVE how you pretend you're sleeping
-We LOVE how you're always trying to hug mom or dad when you get in trouble
-We LOVE how you make us laugh all the time
-We LOVE how you have to brush your hair every time you see a hair brush
-We LOVE how you try to stuff two pacifiers in your mouth at once
-We LOVE how you get angry at yourself when you can't figure something out
-We LOVE how you look cute even when you cry
(upset because he figure out how to flip over his bike)
-We LOVE how you pretend your talking on the phone
-We LOVE how you think "be soft" means rub your hands all over mom's face
-We LOVE how you make us so happy
